Don Lubrey was a prominent television figure of the nineties. He is best known for his promises to get rich quick through direct marketing programs that broadcast at night. But behind the glamorous façade, Lobri's tale was full of deception and tragedy.

Failed beginnings

Lobry was not a university graduate, his only ambition was to get rich quick. He started with several failed projects, including a dating service and a credit repair company that turned out to be a scam. These misleading businesses led to his bankruptcy and prosecution that forced him to close them. 

Monument Empire 

Lobrey did not despair, but discovered that the secret to his success lay in marketing. He started selling exotic services via 1900 hotlines, then moved on to selling get-rich-quick tips through nightly TV shows. These programs were a huge success, and Lubri amassed a fortune estimated at more than $40 million. 

Collapse of the Empire

Loubry did not accept a trial that could land him in prison for many years, so he fled on the run. Authorities arrested him just a day later, and he was placed in prison awaiting trial. Desperate and afraid of punishment, I offer
